About Kerala



 Kerala is a green strip of land, in the South West corner of Indian peninsula. It has only 1.18 per cent of the total area of the country but houses 3.43% of the country's population

One of the small states in the Republic of India, Kerala is located
in the southern most tip of the Indian sub continent. Locked between the mighty Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea, Kerala is a cute narrow strip of land bestowed with all the best things of the world- a versatile geography, a rich tradition, a unique culture and a vibrant population.

Being te first state in India to achieve total literacy, Keralites have already established their emphatic presence in the global intellectual landscape. The state is fast emerging as an IT hub, and is already acclaimed as one of the most sought after destinations for travelers and tourists.

The state's economy is predominantly agrarian with Plantation crops and spices dominating its agriculture scenario. The state's major sources of exports are agro-based products like spices,
cashew and traditional items like coir. The state is also a leading exporter of marine products and manpower.

The state is also miniature of multi-religious India, cohabited by Hindu, Christian and Muslim communities and provides an unparalleled model of communal harmony
